Properties and usage

Solvent-free releasable adhesive for installation of self-laying carpet and carpet tiles with fleece-, PVC- or textile-backing. Also suitable for releasable installation of vinyl composite tiles (VCT).
Okatmos star 150 can be used on false floors, wood particle board and metal, over PVC-, CV- and linoleum-coverings and on ceramic tiles (must be well bonded, sound, smooth and free of all waxes, finishes, strippers and cleaners) and any other subfloor ready for installation.

Coverings installed with Okatmos star 150 can be removed and reinstalled.

For advanced Indoor-Air-Quality. Prevents odours originating in microbial interactions between the floor covering and the application surface.

At +20 °C (68 °F) and 65% relative humidity. Higher temperature and low humidity decreases, lower temperature and high humidity increases this value respectively.

Substrate preparation

The substrate must comply with relevant installation standards as well as with all technical requirements and must be ready for installation. The surface must be sound and clean. Remove dirt, paint, oil, grease wax and other contamination which might act as a bondbreaker.
Old floor coverings must be free of care products e.g. wax and promote good bond characteristics with the substrate. If necessary, clean with Okamul GR. Prime absorbent subfloors with Okamul HD 11 or Okatmos EG 20.

Processing

Stir Okatmos star 150 well.
Apply the adhesive onto the substrate using a nap roller or notched trowel. When installing on false floors be sure to avoid material penetrating into the tile joints and stick. Install covering after the adhesive is tho-roughly dry and press tightly.

Please note:
The fixative may stain certain substrates which will remain after the covering has been removed.

Cleaning

Clean tools with water immediately after usage.
